At SezDG, I respect your right to privacy and take data protection seriously. This policy explains how I handle your personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

I’ve kept it short, simple and in plain English. Because no one likes reading legal nonsense.

1. Who I am

I’m SezDG, a marketing and content service based in South Africa. You can find me online at www.sezdg.com, and if you’ve got any questions about how I handle your data, just email sez@sezdg.com.

2. What personal info I collect

I may collect:

  • Email address

  • Phone number (if you give it)

  • Business name or website (if relevant)

  • Any info you choose to share in a contact form or email

I do not collect ID numbers, payment details or anything sensitive. That’s not my vibe.

3. How I collect info

I get your info when:

  • You contact me through the website

  • You reply to one of my cold emails (yes, I do those)

  • You engage with me on social media or fill in a form

  • You’ve made your contact info publicly available (like on your business website or LinkedIn)

I do not buy dodgy data lists. Ever. Nor do I sell them - your info is safe with me.

4. Why I collect your info

I collect your personal information to:

  • Share info about my marketing services

  • Respond to your questions or messages

  • Send you content, offers or tips (only if you want them)

  • Let you know about blog posts, new services or updates

5. Your rights

You can:

  • Ask what info I hold about you

  • Ask me to update or correct it

  • Ask me to delete it completely

  • Unsubscribe from any email at any time

I’ll never make it hard to leave. Every email has an opt-out link or clear instructions.

6. Data storage and protection

I keep your data safe by:

  • Using secure passwords

  • Never sharing your info with third parties (unless required by law)

  • Removing old or unused data regularly

I don’t sell your info. I don’t pass it on. Ever.

7. Third-party services

Let’s be real. I don’t build the internet from scratch. Like most people, I use tools and platforms to help me run SezDG.com. This includes things like Squarespace (where this site lives), social media platforms (like Meta, Instagram, LinkedIn), email services, and possibly other useful tools down the line.

These third-party platforms may collect, store or process your personal information in their own way, based on their own privacy policies. I don’t control their settings, storage or cookies. I choose services that are reputable and aim to be compliant with data protection laws. But I recommend you give their privacy policies a once-over, especially if you’re feeling curious or cautious.

When you interact with me via contact forms, email, social media or any other channel, some of your data might pass through one of these services. That includes analytics tools, email providers, or systems I use to keep track of marketing and website performance.

I don’t sell your info. I don’t trade it. And I don’t hand it over lightly. I only share what’s necessary to deliver services or improve how the site runs. If I ever change platforms or tools, I’ll do my best to keep this updated.
